We finally did it!

J: We got married! (What did you THINK the title meant? Sickos!) Ok, so we forgot we had a blog. We were a little busy over the last month or two. Can you guess why? If you are reading this, of course you can. Last time we checked in it was the beginning of April, and our wedding seemed forever away.

L: Now we're sitting in our house eating grilled cheese and lovin' life. Nothing beats being married!

J: We barely survived the last weeks leading up to the big day. But we made it, and it was the perfect day. The weather was perfect. The temple was perfect. The sealing was perfect. And the dress? Beyond perfect. Woo! I have a HOT wife!

L: Whatever! The reception went really well too. We had a line out the door until 9:30 and by then, Josh and I were ready to get out of there. Thanks to all of our friends and family that spent the day making everything right. We love you guys and appreciate all your love and support for us during this exciting time in our lives.

J: We had a really fun stay at the Little America in SLC after the reception. We got the "romance package" which included chocolates, strawberries, and an engraved key with our name and date on it. The second best thing about the stay was our room service breakfast! It was beyond words, so I'll just post a picture of it.

L: So SLC was really fun but I was ready to get to Hawaii. Oh man, the airport is even better than any other airport I have experienced. We got off the plane and the air already smelled like plumeria, I couldn't wait for everything else. After a long flight, we were ready to see the island and get to our little love shack ;) Mary Lou was at the airport to greet us with beautiful yellow leis and we were so excited to see her. She is a great lady and was so hospitable during our week long stay.

J: Hawaii was unforgettable. The beauty of the mountains, the flowers and the ocean wowed us every day. We spent most of our time enjoying the tranquil north shore and our little town of Laie. We hung out at the beach, ate at the L&L and the Hukilau Cafe, and enjoyed the temple grounds. Being a big LDS town, I was even recognized twice by Liken fans: once at the grocery store, and once at the PCC. Go Liken!

We also visited the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, did the big swap meet, saw Waikiki beach and ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise (Home of the greatest bacon cheeseburger in the world. I'm not kidding. it was so good. Aaaauugghghg.) We drove around Diamondhead, went 4-wheeling around the mountains where they filmed Jurassic Park and Lost, and spent a lot of time at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The evening show there was an amazing mix of music, dance, and fire. I could go on and on, but if you've been to Hawaii you know what we're talking about. If not, you need to go!

L: When we got home we had quite a bit to get done. Even though our entire house was painted before the wedding it still takes a lot of work to get moved in. The first night of staying in our house was monumental-not only because it was our first night, but because I didn't sleep at all. Josh snores so loud! Oh my gosh, it was so bad. By the time the sun was up, I was ready for my own room, permanently. I got over that pretty quickly as we adjusted the first week and now we are doing great.

Our house is absolutely adorable and anyone that hasn't come over to see it yet needs to. We love our new neighbors and have a great ward. Married life has treated us well and we have had so much fun getting to know each other even more. We learn new things everyday, like Josh can't use a towel that falls on the floor and Josh finally experienced my sleep talking. Funny things like that make everyday something to look forward to. We keep the house clean and do a pretty good job of making dinner, but there is one great weakness we have as a couple- we love to sleep in.

Getting up in the morning is the hardest thing for us to do so we have come up with a solution. We head to the gym just two minutes from our house every morning before work and that's what gets us up. Everyday is a blast, (even the gym) and I'm sure it's only going to get better.
