We had to wait nearly a month to try again. It just about killed Libby every time a friend found out their child's gender or we saw something adorable for a baby at a store but couldn't buy it - not without knowing.

The wait was worth it.

I can barely believe I'm going to be a father, but to think that I'll have a little girl is amazing. See, I've been male my whole life and being responsible to raise a female is a daunting task, one I look forward to with much excitement! I may not love ALL things pink and frilly, but I already love my little pink and frilly girl.

Can't wait to meet you, baby!

My Broadway Review

1) In the Heights
This show lived up to the hype. I love the latin/broadway fusion of the music. The dancing was amazing, especially Will (from SYTYCD) as Graffiti Pete. I fell in love with the characters, i laughed, i cried. What more do you want from a show?

2) West Side Story

Had front row balcony tickets. I've never seen dancing like that. The direction seemed focused more on the staging and dancing (which was amazing) than music and characters. It was a spectacle of dance. Tony wasn't my favorite, Anita was. I usually cry in this show, but I didn't care about the characters this time.

3) Hamlet

I've never been a big Shakespeare guy, but how could we pass up $25 tickets to see Jude Law as Hamlet? He was riveting. The whole cast, really, was incredible. Claudius as played bye Kevin McNally, who plays the old Pirate with the big gray sideburns in the Pirates movies. Got to shake his hand after the show. Very nice guy.

The story was easy to follow. LOVED the stark stage, the lighting, sound, and acting more than made up for the bare staging. Actors didn't have mics - they didn't need them. I loved that.

4) Ordinary Days

This was a very cool experience. Adam Gwon (www.adamgwon.com) wrote the music, and I think, the book - which was small. The black box theater was tiny - only about 5 rows of 10 seats. I was on the front row, inches away from the cast as they sang their hearts out. The story is simple: four people in NY whose lives intertwine in small and big ways. Felt very Jason Robert Brown-ish. I really, really liked it. Got to meet the writer and all 4 actors after the show.

There is NOTHING like Broadway.

Summer Reading

Libby here again. So everyone knows I am a very avid reader. I absolutely adore books and the unknown worlds they have to offer me. Right now I am in my children's literature class which is the perfect class for me. I am required to read great books and discuss them in class which happens to be one of my very favorite things to do. If I could just be a literature teacher I would (I can't teach English because I can't inflict the pain of writing papers on anyone). The class is only 7 weeks long which has kept me busily reading almost everyday. A few books I have read and loved recently are Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan and The Devil's Arithmetic by Jane Yolen:<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 105px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_RiZZzSEwx98/SjA_E-shy_I/AAAAAAAAAH8/tJ_T1FCeGh0/s320/images-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345842112470567922" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 81px; height: 129px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_RiZZzSEwx98/SjA_EsopCWI/AAAAAAAAAH0/KTyKc-UeAwM/s320/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345842107622426978" />
These two books are great reads that I would recommend to anyone of any age. I have also had a huge assignment that I have been working on little by little. My task is to complete a book bibliography of about 40 books in all different categories. My favorite to compile was the old favorites list. I went back to my favorite books from my childhood which are: <img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 124px; height: 104px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_RiZZzSEwx98/SjA_46WUajI/AAAAAAAAAIM/wawPJQ7WIYo/s320/images-3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345843004656871986" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 105px; height: 129px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RiZZzSEwx98/SjA_42Am85I/AAAAAAAAAIE/niH3qcDPYzM/s320/images-2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345843003492070290" />
If I didn't already have an addiction to books and reading I absolutely do now! My class is nearing completion and I'm actually kind of sad about it. I could do this kind of work forever and never be sad. But I guess that's why I want to be a teacher. Public school here I come!

Summer is finally here!

Hey everyone Libby here. So I know we haven't updated in forever (Thanksgiving was the last time to be exact) but I was really bored today and decided to give blogging another chance.

Right now life is pretty chill for this Tenney household. I am in school right now just to finish up a few credits before I start the education program at UVU this fall. I am loving my children's literature class right now and find myself even more addicted to books than I already was. I am also taking a yoga class that is so hard, but I love the exercise I am getting and the strength I am building. While I am not in school I am sitting at home trying to figure out something to do.

I told Josh that this summer I needed a Seven Peaks pass so I can play with my girlfriends for one more summer before we have kids. So my Seven Peaks addiction should keep me pretty busy this summer! WAHOO! I am so excited to lay in the Lazy River for a few hours each week and work on my tan ha ha ya right! Even though I can't tan I still love to hang at Seven Peaks. My girlfriends from high school got passes with me so we can play all summer long and I can't wait. I hate being alone more than anything and find myself alone most afternoons except for this week. So if anyone is bored and wants to hang, feel free to call me and we can do something grand!

This week I actually had some fun days. To begin the week Steph and I went and hiked Battle Creek Falls which was a blast! On Tuesday Abby came over with Taco Amigo to watch Dancing with the stars, Wednesday was lunch with my girlies from UVU(love you guys!) and Thursday afternoon Steph came over to play the Wii. So I have been keeping myself busy so I don't have to be alone most of the time which has been great.

Anyway, I really love Summertime because of all the fun things I can do outside. I really enjoy going for walks, going running, hiking, camping (yes Josh I said it), going cruisin' with some good country music blaring, getting a sno shack, going to Seven Peaks!, and the many other joys Summer brings.

Life is pretty much normal for us, but it's fun everyday no matter what's going on. I have some fun pictures of things we have been doing recently that I will have to get uploaded when Josh will let me steal his precious camera for a few seconds ;) Well, thanks for reading about my short ramblings :) Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Peace out my peeps!

Thanksgiving Break

Josh here. Thanksgiving break has come and gone, but it was a great one. It's so nice to spend so much time together and with family. Being newlyweds and living close to both sets of parents means 2 turkey dinners, and it was great both times. Plus, we started the morning with a great breakfast up at Justin and Cecily's apartment while watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Good times.

Because we knew we wanted to have access to cold turkey after the big day, Libby and I bought our own turkey and roasted it to perfection. We've still got lots of leftovers, so come on over and have some.

Now we've got Christmas & New Year's to look forward too - more time with family, and of course, a trip to Disneyland! Spending New Year's Eve at the Happiest Place on Earth is a great way to start the new year. Last year was the best of my life so far, so I thought we should start it again that way.

Just want everyone to know that I am in love with Libby. She's the greatest wife on the planet, and it was worth going through at least 8 singles wards and 13 years of dating before finding her. She's talented, beautiful, smart, inspirational, loving, giving, and all-around amazing. I love you!

Livin the life of a country rockstar!

So this week I had two concerts which was kind of a lot. I played for about 10 hours within two days and my body didn't handle it too well. But, it was totally worth all the pain!

On Thursday night the UVU symphony got to back up Michael Martin Murphy in concert. For those of you who don't know him, he is an old cowboy that is famous for his awesome country songs. The event took place up in Heber for the Cowboy Poetry Festival that has been going on all week long and I was so excited to go. I had listened to his songs as a little girl with my favorite person, Grandpa Jay. I couldn't wait to actually be a part of Michael Martin Murphy's show!

When we got up to the high school there were cowboys and cowgirls everywhere. It was so cool! Real cowboys and cowgirls, I couldn't believe it. I totally love them and wish I was a cowgirl most days. Anyway...we went straight into rehearsal to do sound checks and all of that fun stuff. When Mr. Murphy walked in I was freaking out. He is the coolest old cowboy I have ever seen. He had an awesome jacket on that had fringe with a faded cowboy hat and a purple handkerchief wrapped around his neck. His cowboy boots even had spurs on them!

He started singing Yellow Rose in Texas, Geronimo's Cadillac, Happy Trails, and so many more awesome country songs. I was so happy because I know my Grandpa Jay was there in spirit. My friend Kelsey and I wanted to take a picture with Michael Martin Murphy just to prove we played with him. When rehearsal ended he started leaving backstage, but I wasn't letting him get away. I wanted that picture! I chased after him and think I scared him when I asked if I could get a picture. He was in a dark corner and didn't see me ;)Despite the scare he was more than happy to take a picture with the two of us. Sadly I didn't have my camera and I have yet to get the picture from Kelsey. I will post it as soon as I get it though.

I started talking to Mr. Murphy about Grandpa Jay and how much he loved cowboy music and poetry. I told him I bet my grandpa would be there in spirit. Well then we went to the barbecue dinner and on my way to the table I ran into my aunt Linda and Grandma Beth! Talk about a little miracle. I got to sit there and tell my grandma all about meeting Michael and how I told him about grandpa. She was so surprised and thought that it was just amazing I met Michael. I was so glad to see her and couldn't even believe they were there when I was.

After I had calmed down for a while it was show time. The auditorium was completely packed and the crowd rowdy. I was so ready for the show of my life. When he started singing the people just screamed so loud and clapped and cheered. I couldn't believe it. I have never have and never will play for a crowd like that again. Man! It really made me wish I was a cowgirl in a band out on the road playing for crowds like that every night. He totally highlighted who we are and said he was so proud of kids that had dedication like we did. I was feeling pretty cool.

When the concert was said and done I was completely happy. There was such a rush that came with an audience that cared about what you were doing. They just loved us and it was so great! That night I got a glimpse of what it would be like playing for crowds and living the life of a performer. Part of me wished I was a great fiddler and could actually do that someday. But, I know that wish won't ever come true. So I'm glad I got my one night of fame as a country rockstar!

My Hott Hubby

I really liked the tag Arica got from her friend so I decided to do it even though I haven't been tagged yet. Full Name: Joshua David Tenney

2. How long you have been married? 5 1/2 wonderful months :)

3. How long did we date? I fell head over heels for Josh when I met him in the end of June 07 and vowed I would date him. Let's just say two weeks later we were on our first date. We dated for 11 months before we got married. But, if you ask me we are still dating!

4. Who eats the sweets? Josh and I both do. He really loves treats though especially if it contains chocolate. Our favorite thing lately is to go to dinner and take our favorite dessert home to share. Yum!

5. Who said I love you first? I did for sure. I was actually upset with Josh and was planning on breaking up with him during conference weekend last October. We got up to the temple to have a chat and I just couldn't do it. I was talking really fast and telling him why I was upset and I ended up just screaming "I love you dang it!" Ha ha

6. Who's taller? Josh

7. Who sings better? Josh sings better hands down. I absolutely love his voice, it always makes me melt when he sings. I get butterflies and my insides get all fluttery. His voice is one thing that made me fall in love with him.

8. Who is smarter? Josh is smarter than I am. That is only expected though when my husband is 13 years older than me with lots more life experience and education.

9. Who does the laundry? I usually do the laundry most of the time. I really like to do laundry actually (I'm sure that will change with kids). Josh does help do the laundry when I need him too though.

10. Who pays the bills? Josh takes care of the bills. I pay bills that concern me, but don't handle the finances too often.

11. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do

12. Who mows the lawn? Lucky for us we have an HOA that does the mowing for us. I just wish they took care of the flower bed too!

13. Who cooks dinner? We both cook together. Since we got married it is one of our favorite things to do. We love getting a new recipe and trying it out. We are pretty dang good cooks. If you don't believe me you should come over for dinner sometime.

14. Who drives? Josh does. Which doesn't make any sense since I am the safer driver, but I just don't like to drive. I always thought it was weird if the wife drove when I was a kid, and I just can't get over it lol.

15. Who admits they are wrong? I end up doing it a lot of the time. Josh can be wrong sometimes and he admits it. I just feel like I end up having to admit I'm wrong more often than he does.

16. Who kissed who first? Josh kissed me. He had dropped me off for the night and just gave me a hug. As I was opening my front door he said "Hey!" I turned around and he just planted one right on me. I was in shock for hours!

17. Who asked out who first? I asked Josh out and then made him pay. It's seriously the way to go. We got lunchables and hiked battle creek falls. We had so much fun and I got to drive his car ;) I love you sweetheart!

18. Who wears the pants? I do for sure! I have my baby wrapped around my finger. I know it, he knows it, and we are ok with that. I don't abuse that power too often, only when I really want something.

I love you Josh! Ok, I think this is fun so I am going to tag a few girls myself. We had a great time (until our feet hurt) at the Utah State Fair, where we enjoyed corn dogs, snow cones, and cotton candy - plus a ride on the ferris wheel. Oh, and read the last line of the parking sign very carefully.

We then partied at the So You Think You Can Dance concert at the E Center. Those dancers were amazing.

Libby and I recreated on of our first and favorite dates: Lunch at Sundance followed by a trip around the Alpine Loop to see the fall colors.

Then we went to work: We painted our extra bedroom- all by ourselves. And the next week we dug out the flower garden, built a rock border, filled with new soil, planted bulbs, and topped it off as a halloween decoration.

33333

Thought i'd try it myself!
List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, and 3 random surprises about yourself.

3 Joys
1. My home
2. Libby
3. Disneyland

3 Fears
1. After two months of pondering, I finally came to the decision that something major needed to be changed with my appearance. In high school I lost a lot of weight and I knew that probably wouldn't happen (I don't have the determination or self-control needed to lose 10 lbs., sad I know!) and clothes wouldn't help anything, no matter how cute they were. My conclusion was that my hair was the one thing I could change drastically to give me a fun fresh look that would make me feel really good about myself again. I made the appointment with Steph and I was so excited! I took pictures at every step so don't worry!
My first cut was just to my shoulder and felt kind of average to me. We did put some fun dark red low lights in my hair though. I love my zebra stripes! I am pathetic though and cried because it wasn't short enough for me. Steph agreed to cut it shorter the next day after work.
This fun A-line cut was what I ended up with. I absolutely love it and feel like a brand new girl! Everyone that has seen me loves it and I absolutely adore my new look. Thanks Steph for putting up with a picky Libby, my hair is perfect. You can bet I will be recommending Steph to anyone that needs a new fun look. You are the best!

Camping With the Tenneys

When Josh and I registered for our wedding gifts we registered for a tent. Thankfully we got our fun little Eddie Bauer tent, we needed it this weekend. Josh's brothers all go camping each summer with the kids and he was married this year and invited to go. We couldn't wait! Everyone was pretty busy but we found two nights that all 4 families could be up the canyon. Our first plan was AF canyon, but it was full so we headed up past Kamas to the Uintah Mountains. My family has camped up at Mirror Lake many times but Josh's family hadn't. I was so excited and felt really cool that I could show all of them Mirror Lake. By the top picture you can see how the lake got it's name!
Whenever I go camping I need a sweatshirt and really warm clothes. I get super cold at night, but guess the one thing I forgot? Yep, that's right-a sweatshirt. Josh let me use his long sleeve shirt which was doubled over a short sleeve. Don't you love my hot socks with my flip flops? I do! Ha ha if you have ever been campin' with the Hall clan you know that this is the popular fashion-wear anything to stay warm.
Jason and Chris' families couldn't come up until Saturday afternoon so Josh and I spent most of our time with Brad and his boys. We had a blast messing around with them. They are so fun and smart and just so fun to be around. I didn't really know them very well until this trip and now we are good friends. They are awesome!
The Provo River Falls is a popular picture taking moment and we decided to stop there. Brad threw on his fishing gear just in case...lol. We took some fun pictures and got right in the water. Josh probably didn't know he landed the adventurous type of wife until I was half way into glacial water. I love getting out there to just play. Swimming in rivers and lakes is another inherited Hall tradition. This time I left my clothes on ;)

As you can see from these two pictures we went out on the lake. We drove down to Samak Smoke House and rented a canoe. Josh and I had a great time out on the water. I got nervous when it started to rain hard and the wind was tossing the canoe. I made Josh go back to shore until the storm passed. Once it had, we went back out and had a really fun time.

The falls were so beautiful that I decided to end with this fun picture. Jamen took this picture of us right before we kicked our shoes off and jumped in! Thanks Jamen! You ROCK!
As you can tell from the pictures, we had a really fun time. Next time Josh and I will have to do a better job of preparing (thanks for saving us Brad!). Despite the things we forgot and the really hard ground our trip was a major success. Married for 3 months, with little camping experience and we survived and even made it home without any injuries. We can't wait until next year!

Chef Josh and Chef Libby

This summer Libby and I have tried to expand our culinary horizons. Now, we still love mac and cheese and cold cereal, but we decided to make some"real food" and we were thrilled with the results.

Tonight we made Monte Cristo sandwiches. If you're a disney fan, you know these from the Blue Bayou restaurant at Disneyland. (I've had them there twice.) I discovered they cost a LOT less at home!

A Monte Cristo sandwich is a ham and swiss cheese sandwich, battered and fried, similar to french toast. It's dusted with powdered sugar and eaten with jam, we used raspberry. We made some fried potatoes with garlic and onion and herbs, with a green salad. Feast your eyes on this:

Last week, we used the trusty Better Homes and Gardens website to find a recipe for spicy grilled pork chops. They were SOO good, and I have to say that I'm pretty good on the grill. We made lemon herb rice and sauteed fresh summer vegetables.

It was such a nice night we pulled our table out to our backyard patio and ate in the cool air with a candle and twinkling lights. We loved it.

Photo Tag

Ok Arica Tagged me and I had a couple minutes so I hurried...

**Rules: No cleaning just take the picture as it is! I love the rodeo a lot, especially because I'm a cowgirl at heart. Watchin' all the riders do their thang, just makes me so excited. Josh had never been to the rodeo and for me it is tradition during strawberry days. Lucky for me I have a husband willing to try anything. So, we got countried up and headed out for a night at the rodeo grounds.

J: Well, Libby got countried up and looked fine, but I just went lookin' good. The rodeo was a lot more fun that I thought it would be. The bull riding was insane - but we didn't get to see anyone gored or stomped on. Oh well, maybe next time.

L: See! I really am a cowgirl, but only on fake horses since I am scared of real ones. Any

way...there were some pretty impressive barrel racers and the team steer ropers were awesome. We witnessed a team rope their steer in 4.6 seconds, it ROCKED!!

J: The half-time entertainment was pretty dang cool, too. Motocross bikers doing crazy jumps and flips and stuff - really fun. And strawberries and cream topped off the night. Mmmmm.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v1.nonxt2.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D94751ce8e205d9dd%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1330147598%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D329C46D3E028FA23BA6611D3113E5CF528B6AFFF.65265A25B9594BEEE430295480F8CC7E1BB4C973%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D94751ce8e205d9dd%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3D4-8cIjeKSIiBdAzlQmpFvN3OFlw&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

L: Josh's first rodeo outing was a great success. (What did you THINK the title meant? Sickos!) Ok, so we forgot we had a blog. We were a little busy over the last month or two. Can you guess why? If you are reading this, of course you can. Last time we checked in it was the beginning of April, and our wedding seemed forever away.

L: Now we're sitting in our house eating grilled cheese and lovin' life. Nothing beats being married!

J: We barely survived the last weeks leading up to the big day. But we made it, and it was the perfect day. The weather was perfect. The temple was perfect. The sealing was perfect. And the dress? Beyond perfect. Woo! I have a HOT wife!

L: Whatever! The reception went really well too. We had a line out the door until 9:30 and by then, Josh and I were ready to get out of there. Thanks to all of our friends and family that spent the day making everything right. We love you guys and appreciate all your love and support for us during this exciting time in our lives.

J: We had a really fun stay at the Little America in SLC after the reception. We got the "romance package" which included chocolates, strawberries, and an engraved key with our name and date on it. The second best thing about the stay was our room service breakfast! It was beyond words, so I'll just post a picture of it.

L: So SLC was really fun but I was ready to get to Hawaii. Oh man, the airport is even better than any other airport I have experienced. We got off the plane and the air already smelled like plumeria, I couldn't wait for everything else. After a long flight, we were ready to see the island and get to our little love shack ;) Mary Lou was at the airport to greet us with beautiful yellow leis and we were so excited to see her. She is a great lady and was so hospitable during our week long stay.

J: Hawaii was unforgettable. The beauty of the mountains, the flowers and the ocean wowed us every day. We spent most of our time enjoying the tranquil north shore and our little town of Laie. We hung out at the beach, ate at the L&L and the Hukilau Cafe, and enjoyed the temple grounds. Being a big LDS town, I was even recognized twice by Liken fans: once at the grocery store, and once at the PCC. Go Liken!

We also visited the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor, did the big swap meet, saw Waikiki beach and ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise (Home of the greatest bacon cheeseburger in the world. I'm not kidding. it was so good. Aaaauugghghg.) We drove around Diamondhead, went 4-wheeling around the mountains where they filmed Jurassic Park and Lost, and spent a lot of time at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The evening show there was an amazing mix of music, dance, and fire. I could go on and on, but if you've been to Hawaii you know what we're talking about. If not, you need to go!

L: When we got home we had quite a bit to get done. Even though our entire house was painted before the wedding it still takes a lot of work to get moved in. The first night of staying in our house was monumental-not only because it was our first night, but because I didn't sleep at all. Josh snores so loud! Oh my gosh, it was so bad. By the time the sun was up, I was ready for my own room, permanently. I got over that pretty quickly as we adjusted the first week and now we are doing great.

Our house is absolutely adorable and anyone that hasn't come over to see it yet needs to. We love our new neighbors and have a great ward. Married life has treated us well and we have had so much fun getting to know each other even more. We learn new things everyday, like Josh can't use a towel that falls on the floor and Josh finally experienced my sleep talking. Funny things like that make everyday something to look forward to. We keep the house clean and do a pretty good job of making dinner, but there is one great weakness we have as a couple- we love to sleep in.

Getting up in the morning is the hardest thing for us to do so we have come up with a solution. We head to the gym just two minutes from our house every morning before work and that's what gets us up. Everyday is a blast, (even the gym) and I'm sure it's only going to get better.

L: I'm tired and have nothing to write at the moment. The last couple of weeks have still been super busy for us with work, school, home buying, and wedding preparation. But we're glad that we haven't had extra rehearsals and stuff. But I WAS able to watch a great Jazz game last night, where D-Will, Memo, and the rest spanked the Hornets - on the road! I LOVE THE JAZZ. And the playoffs are coming! Woot!

L: Josh makes me do stuff like blogging, even when I don't want to! Dumb. Anyway... his family threw a bridal shower for me last night. I was really nervous about going because I don't love being the center of attention. I went with a happy attitude though and it was a lot of fun. I got to know them a little better and they all spoiled me. I got lots of fun gifts for our new home and for our honeymoon in Hawaii ;)

J: I just remembered that I had a birthday since we last wrote! I am now officially 32, which comes as a shock to me everytime I think about it. I'm glad I have Libby to make me feel young. Actually, I feel and act a lot younger than I really am. Anyway Libby spoiled me on my birthday, with notes, lunch, gifts (including stuff for my computer that I really wanted), and an AMAZING cake - made from scratch. It was so freaking good! It was made out of four layers of chocolate cake, chocolate oreo icing and toppings, and love. (Awww).

Not much else to say this week. We hope you are all doing well and happy and stuff, and enjoyed General Conference.

May your taxes be done, and the returns be plentiful.

A snowy Sunday afternoon

J: It's been nearly a month since we last blogged. I can't even start to remember everything that's happened since then.

L: Actually, one word sums up March - REHEARSAL. Yes, that's right, we had rehearsal for Power in His Touch every night in March. I thought I was going to die but I actually survived. The show went well for being pulled together in three weeks and we are glad to have our lives back.

J: Oh yeah. That's why March has been so busy. We've gone straight from work up to Salt Lake for rehearsal or to do the show. We made some cool new friends and helped raise money for the Utah Food Bank, and hopefully entertained and inspired the audiences. We got into the show back in November -without knowing we'd be planning a wedding, and working and schooling so much. But we made it through!

L: Josh forgot about one other big stress going on in March. We found a house!! One afternoon we decided to run look at a townhouse in Orem. After a short walk through we both fell in love with the place and decided to make an offer. Three days later we met with the realtor and signed the papers.

J: Buying a house is challenging. There is SO much to learn about loans, contracts, interest rates, addendums, inspections, down payments, and other junk that it can be overwhelming. Luckily we have good people to work with and caring parents and friends who've been there before. We are hopefully getting the loan in the next week or two and closing the deal. We should have our house before we get married. We are so excited!

L: Our house is tiny but I'm sure we will throw some awesome parties. Our new friends from the show are really fun and have taught us how to party even harder. Going out to eat after the show was most definately the highlight but the after thoughts of the show have been great too. Last night we went up to Michael's and played the Wii. Oh man, good times. Friends, food, and games make for a very fun evening.

J: I have to pause to remember the amazing pulled pork sandwich from The Cheesecake Factory. ... ... ... ... Thank you.

L: What the heck?? I don't wanna type again. I don't have much to say. I'm pretty sure Josh loves blogging a lot more than I do. But if he is making me then I might as well run with it. Wedding plans have continued to move forward despite being busy every second of our lives. In the last couple of weeks I managed to get my dress fitted and we took engagement pictures. A few turned out pretty cute but only because we are both so ridiculously good looking. Check out jgphotographypro.com to see them all.

J: I can't belive that we are getting married in less than 7 weeks. When I got home from my mission, I had no idea it would take over 10 years to find her! But i'll tell you, it was worth it. Missionaries often tell each other that the harder you work, the better looking your wife will be. I must have worked so damn hard!

L: Ha ha, I think it's so funny when he swears because it's not very often. I don't think that is true though-he just likes to brag about me to other people and it's awkward. On to another subject...hmmm, I have no idea. A hah! Josh's birthday is coming up this week and I am VERY excited. He won't even know what hit him when I pull out all of my surprises. I bet this is gonna be his best birthday yet.

J: Well, I think we've reached the end of today's blog. I'd like to thank Libby for her contributions, and a special thanks to all our faithful readers out there. Both of you.

Peace

"We need a title we need a title we need a title" -Libby H.

L: We haven't written since we got home from Las Vegas. Life has been kinda crazy lately. I don't have much to say but that might change as Josh gets started. He is the one who really wants to post tonight.

J: Vegas was fun (I even won $1.90!) but now we are back to real life. We've been busy with the normal schedule of work, school, rehearsals, and stuff. And Libby just reminded me that I moved. I'm living back home for a couple of months, until I find a place for Libby and I to call our own.

L: Real life SUCKS BAD!! I recently decided I hate being a grown up. School is no fun and work is even worse especially because I am up at five every morning. I go to work when everyone else is in their bed and I am all alone in the dark :( I might be crazy too because I just accepted the assignment of being a Saturday manager. Yes, I am crazy

J: Crazy like a fox! Libby impressed her managers and they gave her this promotion. She also recently got 105 points out of 100 on an english class paper - from a teacher that rarely gives high marks. All this while planning a wedding and taking good care of me.

L: If anyone takes care of the other, Josh takes care of me. I don't handle stress well and it's already taking it's toll. We haven't even gotten into the rehearsals constantly yet. He is gonna have a lot to put up with. I already cry every time he has to leave at night. Josh can't stay late tonight either because he is shooting a commercial at work tomorrow morning.

J: Tomorrow we're shooting a new Liken commercial to air on small christian TV stations across the country along with the full Liken Bible Series movies. Shoot days are a nice change of pace from the regular work day. Ok - now let's switch gears and talk about highlights of the last week or so:

The Happy Sumo: Tonight we had dinner here and it was tasty. I had the Fuji Chicken, which was plentiful and green apple flavored. Yummy. Libby had a Thai peanut stir fry.

Return to Me: Sunday night we watched this great movie. I dare anyone to watch it and not cry in the first part of the story.

Camrin's Baptism & Claira's Blessing: It was great to have most of the family together (we miss you Joe & Alisha & Fam!) and be there for these adorable girl's milestones. Libby played a medly on her violin with her mom accompanying on piano. They did such a great job, people stopped and thanked Libby the whole time. Oh, and the eclairs were good at the luncheon afterword.

L: Josh wants me to talk about the sunshine for some odd reason. I was just getting ready to, when he told me I look hot when I type. Weird! Anyway, it's true, the sun has been shining lately. The sky is actually blue in Utah and not so gloomy. I love the sunshine and I am a much happier person when it decides to come out. Even though the sun has been out, it's still pretty chilly outside. Hopefully March warms up pretty quickly because I am for sure ready to be warm. The sooner spring comes, the sooner May is here.

J: That wraps up today's edition of Thirteen Years. That's right, Libby and I are posting from Sin City. On Wednesday night we had rehearsal for our show (Power in His Touch) with my sister Katie and Jared Young. Jared is a Young Ambassador and he told us he had a show on Friday night in Vegas - so naturally we quickly planned a last-minute road trip!

L: I was shocked that Josh was doing something so spontaneous! I have been waiting eight months to see this side of him. We all had work and school today before we left so today was slightly stressful. An added plus this weekend besides the shows, Turnberry, and fun was that we invited our suave friend Michael Dubois. He almost couldn't come but by a few small tender mercies from the Lord the four of us made it all the way out here.

J: On the drive down I had the singular experience of pulling over a cop! He was driving in front of me, and he started slowing down and flashing his lights! I had to slow down and when he put on his blinker it seemed like he wanted me to follow him to the side of the road. When I got there, he rolled down his window and told me he was just turning around. Very strange..but I'm taking credit for pulling over a cop.

We're staying at a luxurious Turnberry Towers in the heart of Las Vegas, thanks to the kindness of Mr. Craig B. What do you think about it, Libby?

L: Well...where to start? Turnberry is absolutely fabulous. I never imagined staying in a condo in the heart of Las Vegas that is so nice. My favorite things about this place are 1. the master bathroom and 2. the master bed. Holy smoker! The bathroom is the size of my bedroom with a jetted tub that could hold four people comfortably. There is also enough walking space in there that I could have my own fashion show everyday with enough mirrors to make sure every angle of my outfit was perfect. I know it sounds amazing but the bed is even better. We had the privilege of staying in December and that is when I discovered the bed of my dreams. I don't sleep very well but I had no problem drifting off in a bed made of clouds. When I woke up in the morning I thought I was dead because I was so incredibly comfortable. So as you can see, I LOVE TURNBERRY!!!

The real adventures began as we pulled into the Freemont Street Experiene. Take it away Josh...

J: Ah, there is nothing like walking around a bunch of drunk smokers. We eventually found a Tony Romas for dinner. Our waitress reminded us of the funny larger nun in Sister Act. Good times. I was glad to find out that my car was untouched (I parked on the street in a scary neighborhood.)

Oh, and I forgot to mention that we had a great time at the Young Ambassador's show. The second half was all broadway, and they really came through with great performances. Special J&L awards go to Stacia, Jared, Melinda, and the one amazing girl who's name I can't remember.

Doritos, Chlorine, and Basketball - it doesn't get any better

J: I have the bestest fiance ever. Today at work she came to visit me, bearing a bag of nacho cheese Doritos. What more could a guy want? She even helped me with boring paperwork. Hooray!

L: I'm really good as a distraction but today I proved to actually be of some help. I couldn't stay long though, I had homework to finish before our temple trip. Yes, Josh took me to the temple today!! FINALLY....ha ha just kidding. We went to do baptisms even though I was secretly hoping for an endowment session and sealing real fast.

J: The temple was beautiful again today with the full moon above it. And I was really excited that once inside the baptistry, someone assumed that Libby was my girlfriend!

L: Ok, funny story. Last time we went to the temple there was a slight misunderstanding. Josh and another brother were delegating those they would be baptizing and I offered to go last so Josh could baptize me. One of the older witnesses just assumed he was my dad and made that known to everyone. I had to bite my tongue pretty hard to keep from laughing in the baptistry. On the way out, Josh started freaking out like a little girl because he thought he looked like my dad. HA HA HA! Don't worry honey, you really can't pass for my dad. This temple trip was great, especially because we got in at the last second...

J: True story. Sad, depressing even, but true. Today made up for it, though. After the temple trip Libby pulled through again - this time with a coupon to QUIZNOS! I love Quiznos. (If you haven't had a chicken carbonara sandwich there, you should. Its to die for. Actually, it will probably kill you. But you'll die happy.) Follow that with American Idol and an awesome Jazz victory, and you have another perfect day with Libby.

L: Flat bread Sammies are totally better than the sandwich he decides to get. I do have to agree with him about the Jazz game though. Scoring 77 points in the first half is fantastic and putting Korver in for even a few minutes proves to be a wise decision. The kid made two three-point shots in the first three minutes he played. YAY KORVER!! I heart him almost as much as Josh.

J: And back to American Idol - I think this year's group of guys are LAME. Except for David Archuallitllttta (did I spell that right?) And not just because he's the local boy - he's the only one who smiled while he sang, and he actually sang very well. Now we get to see if the girls can do any better tomorrow night - and I expect the Jazz to continue their winning ways.

L: Sadly this blog entry has come to an end. It is nearing bedtime and Josh still won't let me have a sleepover :( which means I have to hop into my little white car and drive home alone. No worries though! I get to see him tomorrow. Wahoo! Goodnight!

88 days

J: Today is President's Day, but Libby and I both went in to work this morning. Happily, we were both home by 11 am, so we got to spend the day together.

L: I was extra excited, way more than Josh. Finally, a day without stress just to play. Now we didn't have to run away anywhere.

J: I was pretty excited! We decided to go see Enchanted again, and talk a walk in the sunshine (which has been missing for many weeks.)

L: Those plans changed pretty quickly though. Josh got tickets for Spiderwick instead and I hopped in the shower so I could be cute for him by noon :)

J: ... ... ... ... oh, sorry. My mind was somewhere else for a second. We almost had lunch at the In-N-Out wannabe burger joint in American Fork, but the line was long and we knew that the food at JCWs would be better.

L: I experienced a miracle today too while we were out to lunch. I saw someone that I knew for a change. Josh didn't run into one acquaintance or die hard fan. YES!

J: My hickory bacon cheeseburger was delicious. Spiderwick, however, was not as delicious. The movie was flat and boring for something that involved goblins, fairies, and crap like that.

L: The electronic Yahtzee on Josh's iPod was the highlight of the entire experience at the theater, even though I lost big time.

J: I rock at Yahtzee.

L: After the day's events we headed back to bask in the sun room and surprisingly we ran into Pocahontas. I always wanted to meet my life long hero ;)

J: At sunset, we went for a drive and ended up at the Cedar Hills Golf Club, where our reception will be held. We snuck into the reception center, too - somebody forgot to lock it. The view from there is fantastic. We also saw some cool deer out on the frosted golf course.

L: Of course our next stop was the temple, my favorite place. I sat in the warm car while

Josh took a few pictures of the moon and

the temple together. Making out there is always a plus-I totally recommend it for a good time.

J: No laws of chastity were broken in front of the temple, don't worry. Then we drove to my place, created this blog, ate dinner, and came back to write this post.

L: Pretty much the day was great! Everyday should be President's Day.

J: Special thanks to G.
